MS-ROC Autocorrelator
All-rounder to characterize pulse duration of repetitive fs- and ps-pulses
The MS-ROC (Multi-Shot Row Optical AutoCorrelator) enables pulse width measurement using second order scanning autocorrelation. It is based on a Michelson interferometer and second harmonic generation (SHG autocorrelation). Different models allow pulse duration analysis down to 4 fs for ultrashort pulses and 80 ps for long pulses, even for low pulse energies in the pJ and nJ range. High scan speeds of up to 130ps/s are ideal for real-time measurements. Thanks to dual measurement mode, extremely high temporal resolutions of up to 50 attoseconds are also achieved for ROC models with large scan ranges.
Menhir Photonics AG acquired a versatile Femto Easy multi-shot autocorrelator MS-ROC some time ago. This tool has been essential for accurate pulse duration measurements for multiple R&D projects. This version of the MS-ROC covers pulse durations from 50 fs to 40 ps. It is perfect for our high repetition rate, low pulse energy lasers.
Large scan range & High resolution
Large pulse duration measurement range from 5 fs to 80 ps with highest resolution
Easy to use
Less than 2 minutes setup time, Iris aperture integrated
Low energy pulses
down to pJ level
Time-trace
Our history graph show pulse duration changes over time – perfect for unattended long-term measurements
High-resolution combined with large scan ranges
Thanks to its dual-mode (fine- and fast-scan) both high resolution and large pulse duration ranges are achievable with the same instrument.
Capture details at low pulse energies
Even at low pulse energies and average laser powers, MS-ROC delivers detailed and accurate results.
Wavelength range flexibility
Easily change the wavelength range by changing optics set. Only 1 detector and 4 optics sets to cover the whole range.

Optional Features
Additional crystals
The default MS-ROC configuration includes one crystal. To extend the wavelength range of the device, additional plug&play crystals can be ordered and swapped within the system in seconds
Fiber input connector
Plug play collimation module with fiber connector. Can be mounted on the MS-ROC to easily switch the input from free-space to fiber. No alignment required.
Low energy
Internal module to increase the sensitivity of the MS-ROC when the laser power is too weak
Low repetition rate
Synchronization mode to be used when the laser repetition rate is low. Recommended from below 200 kHz
Phase matching
Default MS-ROC configuration works for a given central wavelength. Phase matching allows tuning the SHG crystal to measure different central wavelengths with the best SNR
Few cycle extension
Extension of the minimum pulse duration to the few cycle pulses range. Down to 10 fs for MS-ROC and down to 4 fs for MS-ROC-SP and MS-ROC-SLP
Software
All key data conveniently displayed: The Femto Easy software has been designed to be user friendly and intuitive. The modern software works with touchscreens and runs either under Linux or Windows. It allows distant control of the devices via PC, tablet or smartphone. We can also provide custom software developments upon request.
